Job Summary

The Art Department is now seeking 4th year Studio, Visual and Art History majors interested in representing the department as student ambassadors.

Responsibilities

Provide guided tours of the art facilities

Communicate independently with prospective students and provide administration with progress updates,

Work with Admissions to accommodate campus visitors.

Attend department-sanctioned events as a student representative / assistant, as well as assisting with set up and take down.

Maintain the department’s web presence through Facebook and the official blog.

Act as liaison between students groups and the department.

Publicize department sponsored events.

Create marketing materials for department events and prospective students.

Qualifications

Good public speaking skills a must.
Must be able to work independently with frequent progress reports to supervisor. Strong understanding of the major requirements and a familiarity with the department facilities is necessary. Attention to detail and ability to take initiative is a must.

Candidate must be a senior majoring in Studio Art, Visual Art, or Art History.

Compensation

$12.00 per hour
