Job Summary

Position to be a substitute/floater to be called in as needed. Must be available to work shifts of 4-8 hours between 6:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. Monday – Sunday. Could work 20-40 hours a week.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will have the general responsibility for maintaining dining equipment and facilities in excellent condition in order to provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times. The Maintenance Worker is expected to perform all duties following food safety guidelines and to meet the College’s expectations. The Worker will accomplish his/her duties in a clean, organized, safe and efficient manner, maintaining a clean-as-you-go policy, being sanitary and safety-minded at all times and keeping good personal hygiene. The Worker is expected to work with other employees as a team to reach common goals, showing excellent customer service at all times. Maintenance workers will be required to work in more than one building and to work flexible schedules and shifts. The job will include basic food service janitorial duties such as dish washing, pot washing, floor cleaning, etc.

Qualifications

• 2 years of facility cleaning experience required;
• product inventorying and receiving experience preferred;
• dish and pot washing experience or equivalent, preferably in food service operation;
• Must pass basic skills test at time of interview, including reading, writing, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages;
• Basic cleaning skills will be tested at time of final interview.

Compensation

$11.00 / hour
