Job Summary

The Archival Office Manager (AOM) functions to oversee the maintenance of the physical office space and the archiving of MRC and student organization historical documents.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and develop the MRC Digital Archive Project, which includes sorting and organizing MRC historical documents
Serve on MRC Program Advisory Board, if time permits
Create digital files of all of MRC documents and sorting the documents on the MRC share drive
Update the current MRC timeline that highlights major moments in the history of the MRC
Document and archive current initiatives and programs
Manage the MRC Room Reservations Calendar
Maintain student commitment to and engagement with MRC Community Guidelines

Expectations:

This job position is a two semester term appointment
Manager must work between 5-6.5 hours per week
Must attend onboarding orientation on Sunday, September 17th, 2017
Must be free to have a shift at the MRC on one weekday between 5-8pm to keep building hours extended
Associates are expected to work two shifts. One shift being 3 hours and another being 3.5

Qualifications

The AOM must have strong communication and organization skills as well as the ability to work independently. The applicant can be any student who is currently attending Oberlin College. They must also have a working knowledge on the various forms of oppression, including but not limited to: race, gender, sexuality, ability, class, citizenship, etc.

Proficient in Google Applications (Docs, Powerpoint equivalent, and Google Forms)
Good communication skills
